Ever is a female warrior and the Queen has been killed. She must go find the heir to the throne in enemy territory and return with her quickly.
Carina Press published this eBook at the end of February. I got my copy from Net Galley (thank you to you both). It is available from Carina Press and other eBook stores.
It's after the Civil War and the badlands belong to women. They have trained warriors to protect the lands and the queen, but the men have come by dirigible and now the whole land under siege. Ever must escape and bring the heir home.
Ms. deLaney has an interesting plot and lots of action in this story. Her lady warrior is physically strong and has brains. Her male characters are good honest men who will work hard to help her reach her goal. The characters play well against each other. The love interest adds more spice to the story.
It reads fast, the ending wasn't predictable, and it kept my attention all the way through. It was a good read. Why not get a copy and see how you like it?
