Willa Bean's Cloud Dreams by Cecilia Galante

My favorite part of this story is Willa Bean's hair.  It's out of control and she hides things in it...

Random House Books for Young Readers allowed me to download an ebook of this story for review (thank you).  It will be published at the end of December in hardcover or trade paperback.  If you have a little one with imagination, you need to add this to your TBR list.

Willa has a million-bajillion freckles, hair that can't be controlled, and bright purple wings with silver tips.  Everyone else's wings are white...

She's just beginning school, and it's not being easy for her.  She's nervous, loses her temper and gets a note sent home from her teacher on the very first day.  The even worse part is that she still can't fly...

The Kristie Valiant illustrations are simple and provide an excellent visual picture of Willa's hair.  They're a nice addition to the story.

Wait until your little one reads about why Willa is having trouble flying.  I bet they laugh!

Happy reading.
