When Tanoor finds a woman washed up on the shore who looks odd, she takes her to her home and waits for her to wake up. When she awakens, it's not until she eats something that she can speak Tanoor's language. Her name is Lila. There are physical difference between them. Lila is a farmer. She and Tanoor don't have anything in common except the belief there must be another area of the world that is green because that's where Lila grew up. It's a good thing they bond together because the village chieftain wants them both gone and makes sure they can't come back.
There's lots of danger, lots of adventure and an amazing discovery in this story. I enjoyed Tanoor; she's invincible. I even found myself liking the monster accompanying them. This was a good read with a message for all and I hope to read more in this series.
