Kuma-Kuma Chan's Home by Kazue Takahashi

He gets an invitation from his friend, Kuma-Kuma, to visit.  He lives quite far away but the boy doesn't hesitate.

Museyon and Net Galley gave me the opportunity to read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published April 1st.

He has to travel by train, bus and foot to the home of Kuma-Kuma.  When he arrives he's invited in for a visit.  There's not much conversation, mostly just camaraderie.  They have snacks, a meal Kuma-Kuma cooks and chat a bit.  It's a very mellow visit and the illustrations are simple and small.

This would make a good bedtime book.  It's low key and a pleasant story which should make it easy for them to transition into sleep.  Let Kuma-Kuma put them to sleep.
