The Trouble with Mistletoe (Heartbreaker Bay #2) by Jill Shalvis

Willa runs a pet store.  It's been her life's dream and she loves the animals and the job.  She doesn't board animals but she will "babysit" one or two for customers.  When someone knocks on her door early and tries to get her take a cat in for boarding during the day, she's not willing.  He might be a tall drink of water but he blew her off in school and she's still not over it.  He doesn't even remember her!  But when she finds out it's his aunt's cat and he works and the cat acts out, she decides she'll take it.  She'll just charge him more.

Avon Books allowed me to read this ebook for review (thank you).  It has been published and you can grab a copy now.

I liked this story for several reasons.  Willa grew up in foster homes, survived and runs a successful business.  She also takes in stray people like she was once.  Those who work for her have all been unlucky in life and most haven't been loved.  Anyone in Willa's realm is loved.  And they all work hard for her.

Kevin has no interest in anything but work.  He grew up in a boarding school, he disappointed his parents with his actions and he doesn't want anything but one night stands.  He almost doesn't even have time for those.  So why is this redhead intriguing him so?

There are the usual misunderstandings.  They try to be friends with benefits but that doesn't work very well.  If they are going to get together they both have to change and allow love in.  But it's Christmas and sometimes miracles happen...
